A Girl With a Story

I need books like I need air. I also like to the write them too, and hope to see them on the library shelves. I also have an unhealthy love of all things Teen Wolf.
Landry Park (Landry Park, #1) - Bethany Hagen Madeline Landry mind is filled with dreams that lead her outside of the stone walls of Landry Park. But obligation and her heart are tied to the land, leaving her longing for something she cannot quite pinpoint. Madeline is part of the Gentry, and one of the founding families in the new post war nuclear America. When a former friend is attacked in the night and the Rootless, the poor slave-like caste, are blamed, Madeline knows there is something deeper hidden in this story. She sets of on an adventure that alters not only the course of her life, but the lives of the Gentry as well. Along the way she must also battle her confusing and rising feelings for the charming David Dana, and uncover the secrets that he harbors as well. This was a magnificent read. So amazing that I read it in 5 hours. I could not put it down. The writing is captivating, engrossing me from the very first page. I could not get enough and it pained me when I had to put it down. I know there are more books in the series, and it is set up beautifully. It ends on a high note, with hope filling the lines, but ominous beginnings for the characters slowly coming to light. This is a MUST read, you will not be disappointed.
